Are you all willing to take up arms with us yet? Buy guns and join us this November. We are voting from the rooftops.|Daniel Alan Baker on Twitter.}} Daniel Alan Baker is an Antifa activist convicted of plotting to kill right-wing protestors at the Florida State Capitol. ==Biography== Baker enlisted in the US army, but went AWOL rather than fight in the Iraq War and was dishonourably discharged in 2007. He is also alleged to have fought for a Syrian militant group against The Islamic State in 2017. In 2021, shortly after the 2021 United States Capitol storming by members of the Stop the Steal movement, Baker began posting on social media about how Stop the Steal demonstrators across the country were planning to launch similar armed insurrections based on little to no evidence. In response to a planned protest outside the Florida State Capitol in Tallahassee on 20 January, Baker tweeted that he planned to "confront" the right-wingers and invited like-minded individuals to help him "defend" Tallahassee. He also repeatedly expressed the belief that a second American Civil War was about to break out. Baker was eventually arrested by the FBI on 15 January after setting up a Facebook group in which he pledged to "drive the racists out of Tallahassee with every calibre available" and called for others to do the same. He was convicted of "communicating threats of violence" after a two-day trial and was later sentenced to imprisonment for forty-four months. ==References== *[https://taskandpurpose.com/news/army-vet-arrested-violence-trump-supporters/ He went AWOL from the Army and fought ISIS with the Kurds.
