== Methods ==
Death threats are often made in social sites, and thus may count as [[cyberbullying]], but they are also communicated through a wide range of media, among these letters, newspaper publications, telephone calls and e-mail. Some threats are directed towards a political figure, as was the case with [[QAnon]], which can also be counted as treason in that case. Death threats can also be used against location figures like a building, to incite a terrorist attack against them, as was the case with the [[2021 United States Capitol storming|capitol insurrection]].
