Molla, a staunch [[Donald Trump]] supporter, set fire to his RV and vandalized his garage with the [[Antifa]] symbol and the words "BLM" and "Biden 2020". He made claims that left-wing extremists vandalized his property because he had a Trump sign on his property. Molla submitted several insurance claims and GoFundMe pages for his supposed victimization. He was able to incur over $78,000 in false insurance claims and an addition $17,000 in his GoFundMe pages. In October 2022, Molla has pleaded guilty to his crimes. His crimes have received some notable attention by the media, with some noting that the crime was remarkably similar to that of [[Jussie Smollett]]'s staged crime.
