Eric Munchel, better known as the Zip Tie Guy, is a Georgia member of the Oath Keepers. He is infamous for participating in the 2021 United States Capitol storming along with his mother, Lisa Marie Eisenhart. Munchel was known for his nihilistic beliefs and adherence to violence. In the capitol riots, Munchel was shown wearing full tactical gear while carrying plastic ziptie handcuffs. He also was shown to be wearing reinforced-knuckle gloves to punch and destroy capitol windows. He additionally was armed with a taser inside the building.

Months after his arrest, Munchel violated one of his bond conditions of not being permitted to use alcohol while under bond. Authorities are now asking of him to be transferred under the custody of his brother.
