Eugene Talmadge was the Governor of Georgia from 1933 to 1936 and from 1941 to 1943. He was a conservative and a racist Democrat who disliked all that werent rich or white supremacist. During the Great Depression, he didnt allow the New Deal to enter Georgia. He made those who were affected by the Great Depression pay far larger taxes than the business owners. He also used the County Unit System. He covered up the benefits that he couldve given them with White Supremacy. He may have been a Nazi who called Hitler a "fine young man". He died in 1946 after running his third term in which his son tried to take over. Herman, his son, was elected a year later by segregationists and racists. Eugene most likely abused his power by his cruelty towards his own citizens and being greedy and a full-out tyrant.
