Gerard Jones is an American writer who wrote for DC Comics, particularlyu contributing to the Green Lantern and Justice League comics. Since 1993, he has also been a nonfiction author, with some of his notable works in that genre including Honey I'm Home: Sitcoms Selling the American Dream and Killing Monsters: Why Children Need Fantasy, Superheroes and Make-Believe Violence. Jones was a recipient of the Eisner Award in 2005.
In 2016, he was arrested for possession of child pornography. He was officially convicted in 2018, and sentenced to six years in prison.
