Hüseyin Sözlü

Hüseyin Sözlü (May 2th, 1965 - ) is a member of the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) and former Mayor of Ceyhan. He has also previously served as the Mayor of Adana from 2014 to 2019. He was born in Çokçapınar, Ceyhan, Turkey.
Life edit
He completed his primary education in his village, and his secondary education at Ceyhan Yaltır Kardeşler Secondary School and Ceyhan Industrial Vocational High School. Then he entered the Agricultural Faculty of Erzurum Atatürk University and graduated as an agricultural engineer in 1989. In 1990, he started to work as a management engineer in the General Directorate of State Hydraulic Works. In 1997 he was appointed chief operating and maintenance chief of DSİ.
From 1999 to 2013, he was elected as the Mayor of Ceyhan for three terms from the Nationalist Movement Party. In the local elections held on March 30th, 2014, he was elected as the Mayor of Adana Metropolitan Municipality with a rate of 33.51%. The candidate, Zeydan Karalar, was elected in the March 31th, 2019 local elections.
Associated with other Turkish politicians also known for being a member of the Nationalist Movement Party include Devlet Bahçeli and Mustafa Yıldızdoğan.
He is married with three children.
Corruption Case edit
In the Ceyhan Municipality Presidency period of some streets and made his corruption of cobblestone pavement, and in the case where he was trial because of causing public damage of about 3 million pounds, "Bid rigging, take a bribe and give a bribe" to be sentenced to 5 years imprisonment for his crimes.
