Heitarō Kimura (木村 兵 太郎 Kimura Heitarō ?, September 28, 1888 - December 23, 1948) was a general of the Japanese Imperial Army. He was convicted of war crimes and sentenced to death by hanging on December 23, 1948. Biography Kimura was born in Saitama Prefecture, north of Tokyo, but grew up in Hiroshima Prefecture, which he considered his home. He attended military school from an early age, and graduated from the Imperial Academy of the Japanese Army in 1908. He then graduated from the Army War Academy in 1916 and was commissioned in artillery. He served during the Japanese Siberian intervention of 1918-1919 in support of the white Russian forces against the Bolshevik red army. It was subsequently sent as to Germany.
