=== Murder of Archimedes Trajano === {{Quote|Yes, Archimedes Trajano was tortured and killed but it's none of your business.|Imee about Archimedes Trajano's death.}} Imee is mostly linked to the death of Archimedes Trajano, a 21-year old student from Mapua Institute of Technology. On August 31, 1977, Archimedes attended the open forum with Imee who was also 21 at the time. Her father appointed her as the National Chariman of the Kabataang Barangay. Trajano questions her appointment, she became infuriated. Imee's guards seized Trajano to be dragged outside, where he was tortured and beaten to death. His lifeless body was later found hours later. In 1986, Trajano's mother, Agapita pressed indictment against Imee for the death of her son due to false imprisonment, kidnapping, wrongful death, and deprivation of rights. Marcos and her lawyers did not deny the claims and stated that the soldiers who killed Trajano were "immune from suit in a foreign state." Agapita won the case in the Honolulu district, with a $2.5 million being awarded in punitive charges, $1.25 million for mental anguish, and $246k for legal fees against Imee and her bodyguards. Imee then responded that he was actually tortured but it's none of their business.
