Villainy edit

  • In her most infamous action, Newkirk has directed members of PETA to euthanize animals admitted to PETA animal shelters even if they are healthy on the grounds that all pets are abused by humans, and even allows the abduction and euthanization of pets.
  • Newkirk has compared those who eat meat to Jeffrey Dahmer and the very eating of meat to The Holocaust, as well as comparing the breeders of pure-bred puppies to the Ku Klux Klan.
  • PETA has ties to the Animal Liberation Front and Earth Liberation Front, both of which have been designated domestic terror groups.
  • Newkirk has donated more money to criminals and the ALF and ELF than to ending animal cruelty.
  • She once ran a scare campaign telling people that cow's milk worsens or causes autism.
  • She and her co-leader antagonized Steve Irwin's family by repeatedly posting on Twitter on the anniversary of his death that he died while harassing a stingray and should be remembered for animal cruelty (despite the fact that Irwin dedicated his life to saving animals, whilst PETA kills 90% of the animals they take).
  • She has called for drones to be used against hunters.
  • Her stated goal is to eliminate any type of animal exploitation, even animal testing that could produce a medical aid, stating that "even if animal testing produced an aid, we'd be against it".
