Sergeant Major Jakrapanth Thomma (4 April 1988 - 8 February 2020) was a Thai soldier responsible for the 2020 Nakhon Ratchasima shooting on 8th February, the worst mass shooting in Thai history. Authorities cited an unspecified "financial dispute" as the motive for the shooting.

Shooting edit

On 8th February 2020, Thomma shot and killed two fellow soldiers in a military base over the "financial dispute" cited by the authorities. He then drove to a nearby shopping mall, where he opened fire at random passers-by, before entering the mall and shooting people inside. The shooting continued for 16 hours, until police marksmen were finally able to locate Thomma and shoot him dead. It was later confirmed that 29 people had died, excluding Thomma, and 57 had been wounded, 25 of whom have since been discharged.
