Jamal Meyers is a 34-year-old gunman who shot a Broward County schoolbus in March 2022, which resulted in the bus getting into a severe crash. The bus that was shot at crashed into a taxi and a white Mercedes, resulting in the deaths of two people. According to the arrest report, Meyers was inside the transit bus while committing the shooting. He fired twelve rounds at the passengers sitting in the back of the bus, before reloading his weapon to fire another nine rounds.
Meyers has been revealed to be a repeat felon, having an extensive criminal history relating to burglary and drug charges. He was hospitalized after the shooting.
