Riddle became known as the Man Chugging Wine inside the capitol as he was spotted stealing a bottle of wine and chugging it while the riots were taking place. He additionally robbed a book inside the building, titled “Senate Procedure”, in which he took and sold for $40. Before the capitol riots, Riddle was a Navy veteran who later worked jobs as a bartender and former corrections officer. He has always expressed support for [[Donald Trump]], firmly believing that Joe Biden robbed him in the presidential election and that [[Stop the Steal movement|the election was rigged in favor of Biden]]. He was additionally planning to run for commissioner in Cheshire County in February 2020. Riddle ultimately pleaded guilty to his actions partaking the riots. Ultimately, he was sentenced 90 days in jail, three years probation and a $750 fine for his theft of government property. He additionally resigned from his job following his crimes. In an interview by News Center Maine, Riddle claimed that the other rioters at the capitol vandalizing and breaking things should "rot in hell", despite his participation and theft of property proving to be no better than the others he condemned.
