Jennifer Capriati
Jennifer Capriati (born March 29, 1976 in New York City) is an American retired tennis player and an on-and-off villainess known for her legal troubles.
Capriati went pro shortly before her 14th birthday on March 5, 1990, and reached the semis at Wimbledon and the US open in 1991. She won the gold medal in the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona, and in 2001, she defeated Martina Hingis to win the Australian Open, and won the French Open that same year. Capriati repeated her Australian Open success in 2002, and it was in that year that she won the ESPY for Comeback Athlete of the Year. She retired from tennis in 2004, and she was inducted into the International Tennis Hall of Fame in 2012.
Capriati's criminal history dated back to her late teens, as she was arrested in 1993 (at only the age of 17) for shoplifting a $15 ring from a mall kiosk (Capriati claimed the incident was accidental), and she was arrested again on the following year (at age 18) for marijuana possession. Capriati turned heel again in 2012, when she began stalking and harassing her ex-boyfriend, Ivan Brennan, who she dated from May 2011 to February 2012. According to the reports, the evil Capriati left several harassing phone messages to Brennan in between Christmas Day 2012 and February 2013, and her villainous harassment came to ahead on Valentine's Day, when she tracked Brennan to a gym and punched him four times with a closed fist.
Capriati was arrested and charged with stalking and harassment, though the charges were later dropped after Capriati served 30 hours of community service and four hours of anger management counseling in connection with her incident with Brennan.
