John & Clarence Anglin

John & Clarence Anglin were two thieves who took part in the June 1962 Alcatraz escape attempt, which was organized by Frank Morris. Their fates, along with the fate of Frank Morris, remain unknown, and have been at the center of various urban legends.

In 1979, the film Escape from Alcatraz was created based on the events of the escape. John was portrayed by Fred Ward and Clarence was portrayed by Jack Thibeau in the film.
