John Graham was a Canadian Native American activist responsible for the rape and murder of fellow activist Anna Mae Aquash.
He was involved in the American Indian Movement for a number of years. For reasons unknown, he and a couple of accomplices kidnapped, raped, and murdered fellow American Indian Movement activist Anna Mae Aquash on December 12, 1975.
It was only until 2003 that the crime came to light, and Graham was extradited to the United States so he could face justice. Though he tried to convince jurors that he was innocent, the evidence all indicated otherwise, and he was sentenced to life in prison. He is currently serving his sentence at the South Dakota State Penitentiary in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
