'''Jun Matsuhara''' (1975 -) is the perpetrator of the "Kogenta-chan Incident", in which he abused and killed Kogenta, a stray cat loved by his neibors.

He posted a topic called "Hey you guys!" on "I Hate Animals" board, a forum that hates radical animal rights groups and people who own animals. On the topic, He posted seven images of Kogenta abused and murdered.

Matsumura posted a topic called "Hey you guys!" on "I Hate Animals" board in 2channel. On the topic, he posted seven images: Image of Kogenta before being abused, eating canned food, image of Kogenta hanging from a string, image of cowering Kogenta with cut tail and corrugated scissors, image of bloodied and weakened Kogenta and the cut ear, image of Kogenta weakened, image of wide-eyed, jawless, hanging Kogenta with a broken CD around his neck that read "I am a defeatist" and Kogenta's carcass lying in the bathtub and a letter with the words "Dedicated to Kuromutsus, the world and the fight - Oskar Dir". He also reported that by the time he got to the second one, he had ripped his throat open with a knife to keep him from crying.

He received a lot of criticism from people on 2channel, who eventually identified him by his address and real name within a few days, harassed and reported him. As a result, he was sentenced to six months imprisonment and three years of probation for violating the Animal Protection Act. At that time, the sentence was reduced because the offender's personal information was made public by many people and he had already received social sanctions.

In 2007,  it was discovered that Matsuhara had committed suicide by suffocation.
