Toth was later arrested and spent a year in prison. Toth, an Army National Guardsman, was additionally fired from his job, was unable to find employment for nearly six months, and was behind car payments ever since. Toth faced up to 30 years in prison if successfully convicted.
However, there was suspicions that Bennett continued to change her story each time. From there, investigators were convinced that Bennett did in fact, falsely accuse Toth of these evil actions and deliberately attempted to incriminate him. She was later arrested, but was sentenced to only 35 days in jail plus an ankle monitor and probation upon release. She has since been released.
