'''Keith Farnham''' (September 22, 1947 - June 18, 2017) was a former member of the Illinois House of Representatives who was convicted of distributing [[Child Pornography|child pornography]] in 2014 and died while serving an eight-year prison sentence.

It is possible that he was one of [[Jeffrey Epstein's co-conspirators]] due to him being a pedophile and his name appearing in [[Ghislaine Maxwell]]'s black book.
==Biography==
===Early life===
Keith Farnham was born in Piscataquis County, Maine. He graduated from Bangor High School in 1967, though he later claimed during his campaign that he was serving in the Navy Reserves in that year.
===Illinois House of Representatives===
In 2008, Farnham was serving as a lobbyist for the Finishing Contractors Association of Chicago. He decided to run in the election for the House of Representatives as a Democrat, defeating the Republican candidate Ruth Munson by 322 votes. Farnham was in the house from 2009 to 2014, representing the 43rd representative district. One of his actions while in the House was to co-sponsor two bills increasing penalties for possession of child pornography. This action would later expose him as a hypocrite. His House committee assignments included Education Reform, State Government Administration and the environment.

Farnham easily won the 2014 Democratic primary only to resign the next day due to his multiple health issues. These included bladder cancer, Hepatitis C and pulmonary fibrosis.
===Investigation and conviction===
Federal agents received a tip-off in 2014 about a Yahoo! account that was being used to trade child pornography online. Investigators found chat logs dating back to June 2013 in which the user bragged about having had a sexual encounter with a six-year-old girl. The account was traced back to Farnham, and on March 13 2014 his home and offices were searched. His chamber laptop and Elgin legislative office computer were also seized on March 19 and the latter was found to contain over 2,750 images and videos of children as young as three being sexually abused. 

Farnham pleaded guilty to possession of child pornography in December 2014. He was placed under house arrest pending his sentencing hearing. A woman came forward to give evidence at the trial claiming to have been sexually abused by Farnham when she was a child. These claims have never been proven.

On March 19, 2015, Farnham was sentenced to eight years in prison. The judge also ordered him to pay a large fine, adding that he had likely sexually abused children. Farnham himself, who by this time could barely walk and was breathing through an oxygen tank, was ordered to report to the state penitentiary in sixty days to begin his sentence.
===Death===
Farnham survived two years in prison before his many health issues caught up to him. He died on June 18, 2017.
