Khaliyfa Neely is a 38-year-old convicted for the Murder of De'Von Andre Pickett, Nicki Minaj's tour manager.
Murder of De'Von Andre Pickett edit
On 18 February 2015, Neely and Pierce Boykin accosted Pickett and his friend Eric Reese outside a nightclub in Philadelphia about a dispute over a woman. After Reese reportedly hurled an insult at them, Neely and Boykin attacked, and in the ensuing fight, Neely stabbed Pickett to death and stabbed Reese four times, although he survived.
Criminal charges edit
Neely and Boykin were identified and arrested in 2017, and Boykin was initially charged with Pickett's murder. However, more evidence was later found which pointed to Neely being the killer, and the charges against Boykin were reduced to aggravated assault. Neely was then charged with murder, aggravated assault and possession of an instrument of crime. On 5 February 2019, a mistrial was declared after jurors failed to reach a decision on Neely, and a new trial began. On 2 March 2020, Neely was convicted, and sentenced to 20 to 40 years in prison.
