Kwong Sing Yu(鄺星宇; 3 December 1992-) was a former community worker and member of Democratic Alliance for the Betterment and Progress of Hong Kong, who wounding and assaulting two men with a knife during a protest.

At about 9 pm on June 12, 2020, Kwong Sing Yu walked to the minibus station in Yuman Square, Kwun Tong, Kowloon, chanting slogans such as "Cong Ding" and "Police Refueling" , and then contacted the street station near the station. The citizens quarreled. Kwong Sing Yu first punched the citizens present. Someone stepped forward to try to stop him. A few seconds later, Kwong Sing Yu pulled out a fruit knife from his trouser pocket and pointed the knife at a man. During the "Epoch Times" The reporter of ”stepped forward to take the photo. He suddenly attacked the reporter with a knife. Nearby citizens tried to subdue him when they saw the situation. Several people worked together to hold his hand holding the knife. During this period, a citizen was cut with a knife and bleeding continued. Later, a large number of plainclothes police officers came to the scene to subdue him on the ground and arrest him for wounding. In the incident, a 22-year-old man was injured and must be sent to hospital for treatment. Another injured was a journalist. His right hand was cut and the camera strap was torn. Before the attack, Kwong Sing Yu once said on the social platform Instagram: "Finally I have a good way to die. Before death, I can return to the backlog and patience. The police are cheering and fighting. "Dead" and marked the location as Kwun Tong Station, which is near the location of the crime. The police found two and a half pills suspected of being the first poison on him. According to reports, the two and a half tablets of the "first poison" are Viagra, a drug for treating impotence commonly known as Viagra. After police investigation, he was arrested on suspicion of "injury", "assault causing actual bodily harm" and "possession of the first poison". The case was handed over to the Kwun Tong District Criminal Investigation Team for follow-up. Kwong Singyu was escorted to Kwun Tong Magistracy for the first appearance on June 15, 2020. He reported that he was a real estate agent by profession. Kwong was charged with assaulting a man Fung Man Kit on Tung Yan Street in Kwun Tong and deliberately injuring another man, Ma Fu Sun, and Possession of "Weir Steel" listed in the first poison list. Kwong Sing Yu’s lawyer stated that Kwong suffered from severe depression, self-harm and suicidal tendencies, and had consulted a psychiatrist. Kwong Xingyu does not need to reply for the time being. Chief Magistrate Xu Qiwei decided to postpone the case for retrial on June 29 in order to obtain two psychiatric reports. Kwong Sing Yu applied for bail but was refused. He must be detained at the Xiaolan Psychiatric Center.
