Lavinia Burnett (1785-November 8, 1845) born Lavinia May Sharp, along with her husband John, her son Jon (who were both executed as well as Lavinia) and a daughter Miverna, moved to Arkansas. Lavinia,Crawford, and John were all convicted for the murder/robbery of Johnathon Selby. Lavinia and John were hung at the gallows in Arkansas. 22 days later, their son John was hung at the same gallows his parents were hung at. Lavinia Burnett was the first woman lynched in the state of Arkansas.
