Lee Tai-lung

Lee Tai-lung (李泰龍; 1968 - August 4th, 2009) was a sub-boss of the triad Sun Yee On. He was killed by an opposing triad Wo Shing Wo in 2009 outside a hotel in Tsim Sha Tsui.
Biography edit
Lee was born in 1968 and has been an amateur boxer in the underground boxing scene before joining the Sun Yee On. After he joined the triad, he quickly rosed in ranks, and became one of the primary targets of the Hong Kong police. Prior to his death, he was in charge of most discos, bars, brothels, and underground gambling sites in Tsim Sha Tsui.
In 2002, Lee got into a fight in a bar with opposing triad Wo Shing Wo after the other triad tried to occupy his territory. In the fight he managed to injury Wo Shing Wo's boss and retried the territory.
In 2006, Lee got into another fight with Wo Shing Wo after one of his juniors was assaulted by the opposing triad sub-boss Leung Kwok-chung. Lee smashed a whisky bottle onto Leung's head and left Leung with a scar down the right side of his face and throat.

On August 4th, 2009, when Lee exited the Shangri-La Kowloon Hotel, he was ambushed by 5 unnamed gunmen. The gunmen first slammed into Lee with their vehicle, causing both of Lee's legs to immediately break, then they got off and chopped him. In 30 seconds, Lee was chopped 8 times. Lee was rushed to the hospital and died 2 hours later.

Five people were pleaded not guilty and the mastermind of the murder Leung Kwok-chung surrendered himself to the police in January 2020.
