== Biography == Born in Yeongju, Gyeongsangnam-do, he was raised in Uijeongbu, Gyeonggi-do. He was one of only a handful of patients ever recorded to be suffering from Gigantiform cementoma. His daughter, Ayun Lee,[1] also has the condition, which has led scientists to believe that there may be a hereditary component to the disease. The father and daughter pair are the only known cases in Korea. Because the surgery to remove the tumors left Lee with only his molars, he became known as "Molar Daddy"[2]and his story was publicized in mass media. He also penned a book called "Molar Daddy's Happiness".[3]
