Libyan Arab Jamahiriya Was a Socialist country and the successor state to the Libyan Arab Republic. The Libyan Arab Jamahiriya was ruled by Muammar Gaddafi, and existed from 2 March 1977 to 20 October 2011.

Fall[edit]

On 17 February 2011, A civil war broke out in the Libyan Arab Jamahiriya between Pro- Gaddafi and Anti-Gaddafi forces in Benghazi. In early march of 2011, Gaddafi's forces retook several costal cities and even reached Benghazi. Later that month, NATO Got Involved, conducting Bombing Raids over Libya, Targeting Military Installations. The Libyan Government announced a ceasefire, but the bombing campaigns and Rebellions continued. In August 2011, Rebels Launched an offensive on the Libyan Capital Tripoli, which resulted in a rebel victory. After the rebels took Tripoli, he fled to Sirte, Where he was captured, Anally raped, and Killed On 20 October 2011.
