Lillie Stanton
Lillie Stanton (born 1964) is the villainess behind the murders of her daughter and her infant granddaughter in 2012.
Lillie Stanton and her husband, Robert Stanton, welcomed daughter Danel Korrey Stanton on January 13, 1989. In adulthood, Danel worked as a nursing assistant and married Jonathon Miers, resulting in the birth of their daughter (Lillie's granddaughter), Kaydence Ray Miers in the summer of 2010. However, Danel was going through a divorce and a bitter custody battle over Kaydence entering the events of May 20, 2012.
As for Lillie, she feared that Jonathon would gain more visitation time with Kaydence, and on that aforementioned date, Lillie became a murderous villainess to prevent her fears from coming true. Both Danel and Kaydence were asleep at the time, only for the latter to be taken to the basement of their Winchester, Kentucky home by Lillie, who slashed her granddaughter's throat. After killing 22-month-old Kaydence, Lillie did the same to her 23-year-old daughter; slashing Danel's throat and suffocating her to death.
Lillie slashed her own throat and wrists in a suicide attempt, but she survived and was hospitalized. She was arrested that same day after confessing to the murders, revealing that she didn't want Jonathon to gain visitation rights. She added that she originally planned to take her daughter and granddaughter out of state, but because she couldn't afford to do so, she decided (in her own mind) that killing them was the logical solution. After pleading guilty to the murders, Lillie was sentence to life without parole on February 20, 2014.
