The '''Lockerbie bombing''' was the terrorist bombing of '''Pan Am Flight 103''' over Lockerbie, Scotland on December 21<sup>st</sup>, 1988. The attack killed all 259 people on board the Boeing 747 as well as 11 people on the ground. Flight 103 was a regularly scheduled transatlantic flight from London to New York City. [[Muammar Gaddafi]] took responsibility for the bombing of Flight 103.
