}}'''Lui Lok''' (呂樂; May 16<sup>th</sup>, 1920 - May 13<sup>th</sup>, 2010) was a former Hong Kong Detective Staff Sergeant I. He was most notorious for his acts of corruption during the 1960s to 1970s due to his close relationship with [[triad]]s.

== Biography ==
Lui Lok became a police officer in 1940 and was later promoted to Police Corporal by 1951. He was further promoted to Senior Corporal in 1956 after wiping out a sub-section of the triad [[14K]] with confessions obtained through torture, forced disappearances and extrajudicial executions. Due to his experience with dealing with triads, he was promoted to Detective Staff Sergeant I after the previous sergeant retired.

In 1968, Lui took early retirement from the police force and immigrated to Canada with his family in 1973. After the '''Independent Commission Against Corruption''' was formed in 1974, Lui was issued a wanted notice for having assets "disproportionate to and unable to be explained or accounted for by his official emoluments, awards, or allowance'". The assets were estimated to be worth over five hundred million Hong Kong Dollars. However he was unable to be extradited due to the lack of an extradition treaty.

Lui would travel between Canada and Taiwan and reside in low profile before passing away on May 13<sup>th</sup> 2010 due to gastric cancer. His body was burried in Burnaby, Canada.

== Trivia ==
*Lui had an extremely close relationship with triads, espically [[Sun Yee On]]. Former Sun Yee On triad boss [[Heung Wah-yim]] is the son-in-law of Lui's uncle, and Lui's uncle assissted in managing Sun Yee On during Heung Wah-yim's early days.
