Luke James Munday (born in 1992), better known online as MrDeadMoth, is a former Fortnite player and Twitch streamer that was convicted for assaulting his wife named Grace Campbell while streaming said game on that site, on December 2018.

Assault edit

The assault occured on December 10, 2018, while Munday was streaming Fortnite on Twitch. His wife, Campbell, asked him to stop playing the game and eat dinner with her and his family, which also consisted of two children. She repeatedly asked him to leave when he refused to do so, which led to her eventually yelling at him and throwing objects at him and his computer. This led to Munday beating up his wife by slapping her on the face and pushing her to the ground. At that time, Campbell claimed to be pregnant. The assault itself couldn't be seen on the camera, but there was still clear sound of the violence.

Penalties edit

Meanwhile, Campbell was charged with two counts of common assaults after throwing objects at her husband, which caused him to receive minor injuries. She was however granted bail, but will have to report to the Campbelltown police station three times per week for her actions. On the other hand, Munday has been banned from Twitch temporarily, causing backlash from Munday's opponents when he returned, which then made the ban permanent.

Munday got charged as well for the assault, with his sentence being delivered on August 26, 2019. After admitting to have beaten up his wife, he was sentenced to 14 months of community corrections as a punishment for his crime.
