Manuel Rivera (born September 29, 1999) is a Dominican-American gang member and killer who was a member of the Dominican Trinitarios gang based in New York City. He was active on June 20, 2018 when he and thirteen others stabbed and killed 15-year-old Bronx boy Lesandro "Junior" Guzman-Feliz outside of a bodega[1].
Rivera was among six men jailed for the murder six days later in Paterson, New Jersey and then found guilty of first-degree murder, second-degree murder, manslaughter, gang assault, conspiracy and weapon possession in June 2019.
Manuel Rivera was eventually convicted of first-degree murder with four other men in October 2019 and given the lightest sentence of the five men due to his young age at the time of the crime (18 years old), 23 years to life in prison[2].
Rivera is currently imprisoned at Downstate Correctional Facility and will be eligible for parole in June 2041, according to the New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision website.
