Mason Courson

Mason Joel Courson is a young man from Tamarac, Florida who participated in the 2021 United States Capitol storming.

Prior to the riots, in 2015, Courson was arrested for underage drinking and intoxication in a public bar. He was under the influence and was assaulting and physically beating up the bar owner who was trying to kick him out. An off-duty police officer and his K-9 dog arrested him, where the K-9 bit Courson's arm after he refused to comply.

Later in 2021, Courson participated in the January 6 capitol riots. He was responsible for assaulting a police officer, stealing his nightstick and battering the officer with it. He later senselessly attacked a second officer, kicking and throwing him down a flight of stairs outside of the capitol.

He was charged with eight federal offenses, all of which involve assaulting and/or doing bodily harm to law enforcement.
