“ | There is no free speech in the real world and you will be suppressed for telling the truth that is not supported by the system. Videos of targeted users are filtered and merely relegated, so that people can hardly see their videos. Make the lie big, make it simple, keep saying it, and eventually they will believe it. | „ |
~ Aghdam's accusations against YouTube. |
Nasim Najafi Aghdam (April 5th, 1979 - April 3rd, 2018) was an Iranian Azeri-American vegan activist and who perpetrated a shooting at the YouTube headquarters in San Bruno, California, the United States that occurred in April 3rd, 2018 before she committed suicide. She complained about YouTube on her website, saying that "YouTube filtered her channels to keep them from getting views!", as well as demonetizing most of her videos. She previously protested against the killing of pigs in U.S. Marines training procedures.
Personality edit
Aghdam's family was then concerned about her moving away and with the discovery about her frustration with YouTube (as mentioned earlier). Which led to the family calling the local authorities and she was calm and subtle convincing the police that she is okay and that she isn't a threat to herself or others.

Nasim Aghdam was an activist YouTuber who spent her time making vegan related videos.
Demonetization edit
Later on, Nasim discovered that YouTube had demonetized her channel which led to her making videos expressing her frustration with her videos no longer having any ads to be able to make any income off her content.
Interview before the Shooting edit
The video shows a brief interview between Nasim and the police officers before the YouTube shooting. Nasim was found sleeping in the car around a Walmart parking at night time until she was awakened by police authorities to investigate to see whether or not Nasim is okay, because of the missing report from her reasonable concerned family worried for the worse outcome yet. Nasim was calm and didn't share or give any type of signs that she was a threat against the YouTube headquarters yet.
The Headquarters Shooting edit
Many nearby local civilians in the YouTube headquarters reported a shooter that shot at least 3 individuals. The three injured individuals who tried to escape were not seriously killed or hurt, except for the perpetrator who was responsible for shooting up the headquarters. The gun she brought was a Smith & Wesson SD9VE.
Death edit
Due to the police officers eventually showing up to stop the shooting, Nasim turned the gun to herself and shot herself, leaving the three injured individuals.
