Orlando Tive "Baby Lane" Anderson (13 August 1974 - 29 May 1998) was a member of the Southside Crips and the main suspect in the unsolved murder of Tupac Shakur. He was later killed in a shootout just after committing the murder of gang member Jerry Stone.

Shooting of Tupac Shakur edit

Three hours before the shooting, Anderson was involved in an altercation with Tupac Shakur and his entourage, who began beating him after he was caught attempting to steal a Death Row medallion. Soon after, a car believed by investigators to have contained Anderson, Deandre Smith, Terrence Brown and Duane Davis drove past, and a man believed to be Anderson fired several shots from the window, hitting Tupac four times. Tupac died six days later. Anderson and the others were arrested, but all were released without charge. Anderson subsequently filed a lawsuit against Death Row records and their CEO Suge Knight in relation to the beating.

Murder of Jerry Stone edit

On 29 May 1998, Anderson and his cousin Michael Dorrough pulled up at a car wash where fellow gang member Jerry Stone and his uncle Michael Stone had stopped and demanded money Jerry Stone owed them for cocaine. When he refused, Orlando Anderson shot Jerry Stone twice, killing him. He was then shot dead by Michael Stone, who was himself fatally shot down by Michael Dorrough, dying a day later. Dorrough was arrested and is currently serving three life sentences for his involvement in the shootout.
