Paul Jennings Hill (February 6th, 1954 – September 3rd, 2003) was an anti-abortion priest. When he was 17 he was sent to military school for assaulting his father, who had tried to send Hill to treatment for his drug problem. He later claimed to have undergone a spiritual reform and was made a priest.
Murders edit
In 1994 Hill approached an abortion clinic in Florida and shot clinic doctor John Britton, ex-USAF James Barrett and Barrett's wife June Barrett with a pump-action shotgun, killing them all except June. He was arrested minutes later, having placed his gun on the ground and waited to be arrested. Hill was found guilty of two counts of first-degree murder, one count of first-degree attempted murder and one count of firing into an occupied vehicle and sentenced to death. In July 2003 Governor Jeb Bush signed Hill's death warrant and he was executed by lethal injection in September of the same year.
