Paul Rose is a leader of the Front de libération du Québec (FLQ), a Marxist-Leninist guerilla organization that aimed to establish extremist socialism through terrorism and violence. He was the officer of the Chenier cell of the organization.
Rose was convicted of kidnapping and strangling Canadian lawyer and politician Pierre Laporte in 1970. He was given a life imprisonment for his actions. He died of a fatal stroke at the age of 69 on March 14, 2013.
