Popular Sovereignty Party is Japanese political party denying COVID-19 and spreading the anti-vaccine propaganda. The party leader is Masayuki Hiratsuka. PSP temporarily suspended activity after Masayuki was arrested during protest on 23 November, 2020, but resumed activity when he released.

Background edit

Popular Sovereignty Party was established on February 2, 2020. PSP has the ideology of anti-mask, anti-self-restraint, vaccine hesitancy, and based on COVID denialism, they held many protests without COVID infection control.

On december 23, 2020, Masayuki was arrested for the forcible detainer in the protest on the premises of the Japanese Medical Center.

On June 28, 2021, Unplug movement derived from the PSP's activities. When incident that they unplugged the fridge that stores the anti-COVID-19 vaccine happened, Masayuki said "Thank you" against it on Twitter.
