Richard Huckle (May 14, 1986 - October 13, 2019) is a former teacher, photographer and convicted sex offender. He was arrested by the UK National Crime Agency after an Australian police report and found guilty of 71 counts of aggravated sexual assault against children while living in Malaysia .
What also became a parent during the trial was the extent to which Huckle went to find victims, including taking the children on day trips from orphanages and escorting the children to the home after their own birthday party. Huckle even went so far as to create a log of his abuse and give himself what he called "Paedo points" based on the extent of abuse suffered by each victim.
During the years of 2011 and 2012, Huckle did part time photography for Nike Football Club Malaysia. There were no reports of abuse in the club. However, his behaviour did raise concern among the players in the club as Huckle had an eccentric and quiet character. In addition to Malaysia, where all of the crimes he was convicted of occurred, and Cambodia, which was also mentioned in the trial, where it is known that he kidnaped two sisters of 4 and 6 years in 2006.
Sentencing Sentencing began at The Old Bailey on June 1, 2016 and is expected to last until June 3, 2016. Case judge Peter Rook QC said Huckle should expect to go to jail for a very long time. a long time because he envisions several lives. convictions because of the gravity of what was committed.
While the British media broadly supported Huckle's conviction, the Malaysian press said the punishment was not severe enough, with statements such as "a thousand years is not enough", "We are horrified that the sex demon [Huckle] will be able to appear before a parole board after twenty-three years, ”and“ this monster could come out in twenty-four years ”.

The National Crime Agency has been criticized by the Malaysian government and by a number of child welfare charities in Malaysia for their handling of the case. NCA agents traveled to Malaysia to hire local charities, which held child protection workshops in the community where Huckle lived, but were not told of the seriousness of his crimes. The Malaysian government has publicly stated that it would like to have more details on the victims so that they can offer advice.
After the seriousness of Huckle's crimes became known, the Malaysian government set up a hotline for people to call if they have any information about Huckle or if they themselves have been mistreated. A public country personality who shouldn't be outraged at Huckle when the country had no laws against child marriage.

Sky News produced a 30-minute documentary on Richard Huckle in which they discussed his childhood, school life, time in Malaysia and his belief. The documentary contains plenty of photos and information not seen anywhere else, including a video interview with former school friend Scott Chapman. It can be found at the following location, but viewer discretion is advised. Huckle was a regular Christian at Ashford Baptist Church, where he was described as a quiet man. He was also a member of a church in London, which he continued to attend until the time of his re-arrest in January 2015.

On October 13, 2019, Huckle was found strangled and stabbed to death in his cell at Full Sutton Prison, 33. He was reportedly beaten, stabbed and strangled several times. Another prisoner was charged with his murder in January 2020.

On November 24, 2020, more details were revealed, the attack was "carefully planned" and executed by Paul Fitzgerald, also jailed for crimes of a sexual nature. It is reported that Fitzgerald raped Huckle with a kitchen utensil, strangled him with an electrical cord, stuck a pen through his nose in his brain. The victim also suffered blows to the face and kidney, and a stab in the neck, the assailant called the act of poetic justice. The perpetrator was sentenced in 2020 to life imprisonment with a minimum of 34 years.
