Chad Marshall (born November 24, 1991), also known by his stage name Rowdy Rebel, is an American rapper who is a member of the GS9 Crips crew from Brooklyn, New York alongside fellow rapper Bobby Shmurda. He appeared in the music video for Shmurda's hit song "Hot N*gga".

Early Life[edit]

Chad Marshall was born on November 24, 1991 in Brooklyn, New York and grew up in a neighborhood referred to as "the 90s" by the inhabitants in the East Flatbush area. His mother is from Barbados whereas his father is from Jamaica.

Criminal conviction[edit]

On 17 December 2014, Marshall, Shmurda and 13 others associated with GS9 were arrested by the NYPD for conspiracy, attempted murder, assault, reckless endangerment and criminal possession of a weapon. Marshall pleaded guilty and received a sentence of 6-7 years in prison, with two years credit for time served. He was paroled on 15 December 2020 after serving 6 years.
