Russian Orthodox Army
The Russian Orthodox Army is a military activity in Ukraine, which was founded in May 2014 during the War in Donbass. A total of 100 members, which are home to local residents and Russian volunteers. The number of people living in the Donbass, up to 350 people, and then up to 4,000 people. Notable ROA commitments include clashes in June 2014 in Mariupol and Amvrosievsky district. The apartment is located in the occupied building of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) in the city of Donetsk. Igor Girkin ("Strelkov"), in addition to special training, except for the usual conscription service in the army, a militant and the Minister of Defense of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic. The ROA was noted as "testing, beating and threatening Protestants".
June 8, 2014 the group murdered pentecostals in Slaviansk.
In late November 2014, the group gained attention after abducting prominent Ukrainian Greek Catholic priest, Sergeii Kulbaka, and Roman Catholic priest, Father Pawel Witek. According to the Defence Ministry of Ukraine, the ROA has also been in conflict with another pro-Russian militia, the Vostok Battalion, which accused the ROA of looting, and of avoiding combat.
