Sean Kelly
Sean Kelly (1972-?) is an Irish republican and former volunteer for the Belfast division of the Irish Republican Army. He was arrested and sentenced to seven life sentences in 1993 for his role in the Shankill Road bombing that killed nine innocent people, one member of the Ulster Defence Association and fellow bomber and IRA member Thomas Begley. Kelly himself lost an eye and partial use of his left arm in the bombing and claims to regret the deaths of innocent people. He was released as part of the Good Friday Agreement, only to be returned to prison in 2005 for suspected involvement in riots. He was also arrested in 2013 in connection with a teenager being shot in both legs. He has since been released unconditionally.
