Serhiy Hrynevetsky is a Ukrainian Politician who had previously served as the Governor of Odessa Oblast from 1998 to 2005 and from 2020 to 2022 and a member of the Verkhovna Rada from 2007 until 2014, and is currently the Deputy of the Odesa Regional Council.

First appointed to office by political ally Leonid Kuchma Hrynevetsky had worked alongside him and implemented many of his policies, during his time in office Gang Violence and Drug Trade rose, and the oblast saw a general decline in the quality of life, he left office in 2005 with the people having a divided opinion on him, and went on to serve as a member of the Verkhovna Rada from 2007 until 2014, in 2020 he was re-appointed as Governor by Volodymyr Zelensky, however he was dismissed in 2022, however he still serves as the deputy of the regional council, meaning he still has power.
