The Sesame Street YouTube Hack was an incident that occured on October 16, 2011. On October 16, 2011, unnamed hackers tapped into the American television educational program Sesame Street's YouTube page. The hackers deleted all the new videos that were posted to the television show's channel, and then they uploaded pornographic videos to the channel. About thirty minutes later, the staff of the website took down the Sesame Street channel due to it violating the guidelines of the website. It is unknown who these hackers were, nor is the reason to why they chose a PBS Kids channel to upload porn to YouTube. The deleted Sesame Street videos were later returned to their channel after the incident happened.
