|hobby = }}'''Seth Redell''' is an American man who is the ex-boyfriend of adult film actress Piper Perri (real name: Julienne Frederico.) He was responsible for the [[murder]] of Perri's two-year old son, Hayden Umbenhower, in April 2016.
==Background==
Though details of the incident remain sketchy, Redell at first said the boy fell and hit his head near the back door of the house and was unconscious. The child was transported to University Medical Center, where he died five days later. The Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office said Redell’s story changed several times, but that he told police he took Umbenhower to the shower after the fall and ran water over his head in an attempt to revive him.

The child died as a result of injuries consistent with shaken baby syndrome. He suffered from subdural hematomas, brain swelling and retinal hemorrhaging in both eyes.

On March 23, 2018, Redell was formally indicted by a grand jury for the murder of Umbenhower, which alleges that Redell beat the child to death. His case is now set to be heard by Judge Scott Schlegel in 24th Judicial District Court in Gretna, Louisiana; he faces mandatory life in prison if convicted. 

In 2022, he was sentenced to just 5 years in prison.

Redell had a prior criminal record before the murder, having previously been arrested on charges involving possession of marijuana and aggravated robbery.

==Trivia==
*A common misconception regarding the case is that Redell was Umbenhower's biological father. This is, however, not the case, as Umbenhower was the product of Perri's previous relationship before she was with Redell.
*According to Perri, she had some of her son's organs donated after his death. His heart went to a little girl under the age of 5 in Arizona, his liver went to a little boy under the age of 5 in New York, and both of his kidneys went to a man in his 40’s in Pennsylvania.
