Shotgun Man is a name given to an unidentified 1910s assassin and spree killer who has been attributed to murders by Black Hand. Most notably, Shotgun Man killed 15 Italian immigrants between January 1^st, 1910 and March 26^th, 1911 at "Death Corner," the intersection of Oak Street and Milton Avenue (now Cleveland Avenue) in what was then Chicago's Little Sicily. In March 1911, he reportedly murdered four people within 72 hours.

Despite the fact that his crimes were witnessed by several bystanders, the murderer has never been identified by the Chicago police. However, some have said that he was well-known throughout the Italian community and residents may have been unwilling to turn the criminal in to the police as a result of Black Hand's political influence. It's currently unknown what has happened to the Shotgun Man since but it's possible that he disappeared from Little Italy some time before Prohibition as Black Hand's extortion operations hadn't come to an end by the end of the decade.
