He was the leader of the Italian right wing party "People of Freedom" and is the current leader of the party "Go Italy". He has been accused many times for abuse of power, corruption and sex scandals. In 2013 he was condemned to four years of prison for tax fraud. His inflammatory quotes have led to comparisons with current US President Donald Trump and Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro.
