Slave Ships were large vessels used to transport [[Slavery|slaves]] from mainland Africa to their new "homes" in England and later America - conditions aboard Slave Ships were so horrendous that many of the slaves died before they even arrived at their destination.

They were most common during the height of the [[Slave Trade|slave trade]] during the 16th thru 19th centuries.
