Slave ships

Slave Ships were large vessels used to transport slaves from mainland Africa to their new "homes" in England and later America - conditions aboard Slave Ships were so horrendous that many of the slaves died before they even arrived at their destination.

They were most common during the height of the slave trade during the 16th thru 19th centuries.
