Stephen West was a Tennessee man who in 1986 broke into the house of Wanda Romines, along with his friend Ronnie Martin, and stabbed her to death. He also raped her 15-year-old daughter and stabbed her too. At his trial, he claimed that Martin carried out the killings, and that his involvement stemmed from his abusive childhood. He was found guilty and sentenced to death. He was executed by lethal injection on the 16th of August 2019.
