'''Susan Smith''' was born September 26<sup>th</sup>, 1971 in Union, South Carolina. She is known for having hijacked and killed her own children over a man she wanted to be with and for that she was sentenced to life in prison, being eligible for parole on November 4<sup>th</sup>, 2024.

She was known to had a troublesome and complicate childhood. She had unstable home, her father committed suicide and she tried to do so. In her teen years, she was [[Child Abuse|abused]] by her step-father named Beverly Russell. After that, she attempted to take her life again until she married David Smith, who had two sons with her and a unstable relationship with her. Over another man, Susan decided to take her own life with her two sons. But instead, she took the life of their kidnapped sons by speeding up until falling into a lake where the kids drowned to death. This was the best method to remove evidence. She lied to authorities that her sons were kidnapped by a black suspect that actually didn't exist. When evidence began to turn toward her and people began to suspect it was her, she finally confessed to the crime.

After her confession, she has been remembered by many as one of the worst parricide and pathological liars in the United States.
