When I was young watching war films, I always assumed that the Germans and Japs were bad guys, it was not until I watched films like "Das Boot" and "Letters from Iwo Jima" that it really showed me that history is written by the victors. Because it wasn't until "Tora, Tora, Tora" that I actually knew WHY the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor. Pronganda said "Why do you want to piss off Japan when you can avoid it?" That never made sense to me. There had to have been a motive. And I'm not surprised at all that the said motive was removed from history books and never taught in school. That's why it is important to listen to the older generation. especially those that where there during critical turning point in history. That's seems like the only way to get the facts. To be honest, this world if F@$ked up.
